The correct term is “cargoes” not “cargaments”. The former is an English word, while the latter is somehow Spanish. Be that as it may, it is not unusual for people who were under Spain for 300 years to be influenced in their choice of words. The latest of such faux pas is by Cebu City Councilor Gerardo Carillo who recently used the word “cargaments” instead of “cargoes” in a television interview.
