First of all, we would like to thank all of you for being a part of the Himantayon community. In the last three months, we have experienced an unexpected surge of traffic and a much appreciated onslaught of new and exciting ideas from our readers. What started as a “small observatory” quickly grew into a vibrant community of intelligent, enthusiastic, and over-eager Himantayons. Mga bai, daghang salamat!
During my call center days, outside the office:
Someone from middle management (MM): So OK ra ang trabaho ron? Di pod lisod?
Me: K ra man pod. Nabag-ohan lang ko, lain akong ma-click usahay.
MM: Aw, anara lang. Maanad ra ka ana. It takes 21 days biya to start a hobby.
Pahk: So pwde diay ko ma-late kada-adlaw. It’s a ‘hobby’ man.

Girl: Plete palihug (tibuok 10 peso coin).
Driver: Asa ni naog?
Girl wa kadungog…
Girl: Usa ra nang diyes.
Driver: Asa ni naog?
Girl wa gihapon kadungog, ka upat na ga balik-balik ug pangutana ang driver…
Pasahero1: Usa ra jud bitaw na ang diyes, ang pangutana sa driver kay kung asa ka munaog.
Girl: Aw, sa may USP lang.
